“Investors are worried that economic conditions and earnings will still deteriorate even with this rescue plan, the weakening global demand is becoming more of a concern to many investors.” -Masaru Hamasaki, a senior strategist at Toyota Asset Management Co. in Tokyo.
“We know that there’s a financial crisis, and now the question is are we going to have an economic correction or crisis, if it does turn into a crisis, there is a lot of downside for equity markets.” -Masayuki Kubota, a senior fund manager at Daiwa SB Investments Ltd. in Tokyo.
“It will probably be a rough week for global investors as they realize the credit crisis has a long way to play out, U.S. action was an absolutely essential first step, and global intervention is needed.” -Frederic Dickson, who helps oversee $25 billion as chief market strategist at D.A. Davidson & Co. in Lake Oswego, Oregon.
We will see how wall street will re-act to the bail-out plan on Monday (10/6/08). If they are not please, or is not confident that the plan will help, expect to see more reds over in Europe and Asia for this upcoming week.
